I'm finally upgrading from my Lincoln 3200hd 110v mig to a millermatic 211 w/auto set. I know I can buy from cyberwled, weldersupply, oxygen, etc. I'm more concern with the type of customer service to expect for my small investment. I have never had any problems with my tiny 110, I dont expect any problems but I'd like to take this information into account. Thanks for your time in advance.
Reply:As a owner of a 211 I love the machine. I doubt you ever need miller's customer service with the 211. Lincoln is top notch also. Both companies customer service is excellent.
Reply:Thanks for the input. I'm probably going to order from cyberweld at this point.
Reply:I would buy from local supplier. There is not much difference from online prices and local suppliers in my area. Check where you get your tanks from if you use a tank. If you need a tank get a CASH price for a package deal with accessories, I always go with cash. I found .030 wire is best on the 211 . Have fun !!!Just saw your post on Cyberweld, WELDERS supply is a little less and a local supplier by me, $1079.00 FREE SHIP http://www.weldersupply.com/P/275/MillermaticAutoSet11Last edited by BD1; 01-31-2015 at 03:50 PM.Reason: supplier added

Reply:[QUOTE=pat h;5356541]welders supply are good people sent a few friends there all good results good prices also[/QUOTEI bought my Miller CST 280 from them and other goodies in store and are great people.Since a local supplier was bought out by Air Gas I found another. Advanced Welding in Greenfield Wisconsin. It's a Ma/Pa place and their great. You gotta call them first to see if they are there because they to it all and are in and out. They don't have online sales yet but I'm sure they are consisting it. I was there Friday and did tank exchanges , bought a tank of trimix, and a Milller 140 great deal and people. I'am not related to them. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/tld/4808415550.html
Reply:Another vote for buying local. In a city like Houston you should have plenty of welding supplies to choose from. Some LWS's are better than others (to put it mildly!), but it will be worth your while to find a good one. Even if your welder never needs service you will need gas and other supplies and a good relationship with a supplier will pay off.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
Reply:I'll chime in with the local suppliers, I went to one to ask about a 180 welder, they were just a few dollars more than online, I'm tight so asked if they would price match, man they went overboard and sold me a Lincoln 180c floor model for $300 less and a free upgrade size on my gas bottle. Give one a try it never hurts to ask.Thermal Arc 210 - Tweco 211I - Cutmaster 52 |
