I just bought Miller XMT 304 with 8vs suitcase feeder but they didn't come with cables.  I'm looking to buy decent stinger and ground for arc welding, but not sure which junk to avoid.  I like the multi position clamp, not the one you have to twist. Suggestions?I don't think I'll go over 150A often. Many thanks!Last edited by HelloStranger; 02-02-2015 at 11:38 PM.
Reply:Tweco 200 amp stinger and one of their 300 amp copper ground clamps should last you forever. And not really that expensive in the long run.
Reply:Two good values.....250amp stinger.http://www.ebay.com/itm/TWECO-STYLE-...item4ae137bae5300amp ground. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300-Amp-Weld...item51cab09af5Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Reply:The copper Tweco ground are probably the best but I like the Bernard twist style stingers. You can bend the rod however you want it. Pipeliners like the jaw type stingers.
Reply:the lenco duro handles are old school built to last and are my 1st choice for field work. i also like and would recommend the bernard short stub or the tweeco equivalent. as for a ground i make my own from a piece of 3/8" flat with a 5/8" round hook welded to it. this type of ground let's me c-clamp,hang or tack to any type of surface.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:If you just need short leads w/Dinse plugs, the ones on the bottom of the page here aren't bad for $33.http://store.cyberweld.com/twmigmapr.html"USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder
Reply:I like the Lenco 300 amp grounds, Lenco af250 stinger, 15 ft. #2whip ultra flex (orange insulation).  That's the combo I've been using here latley. I just got the ultra-flex cable about 6 months ago for my whip and it is nice, worth the little extra money to me. I have the xmt 304 too  it has served me well. Had it since 2008.

Reply:I would go here and buy ground clamp #02050, 500A economy clamp for $9.99, I use these a lot. I would also buy stinger #9110-1101 Tweco 532, 200A. Or, you can go with a #01020 Lenco AF-2, 200A. I have both of these in my collection. Here are some pics of my collections. If you see anything interesting, just ask for info/opinions. Good luck.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ght=collectionhttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ght=collection"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!!
