Thanks fexal, i was inspired to make a sign for my little garage workshop. I was looking to go retro with a "vintage vegas circa Rat Pack " look. I used 12 ga steel for the project. Cut the curvey stuff with the plasma and the rest with the porta band. Did a little distressing and used paint colors that would work for the time. Rivets for the perimeter to look like lights and pounded the metal and sanded for the distressed old time look. Reply:The letters and logo have small nuts epoxied to the back, then I epoxied them to the main sign, so they do provide some relief. Nice idea about the back lighting...
