cleaning my hood

Reply:I learned the hard way when I first started wearing glasses. Never use a paper product to clean glass! It will scratch the lens. Reply:I never "wipe" any dust off of glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, welding lenses, etc.   The dust is usually grit that is very abrasive and will scratch.  So, I rinse vigorously under running water first, then spray it with soap or cleanser before rubbing it with a cloth or my hands.  The soap will act as a lubricant to reduce scratching.Century buzzbox that I learned on 40+ years ago (was Dad's)Crappy Century 110volt mig 70 amp pigeon pooper.Lincoln Idealarc TIG-300
Reply:Aerosol can glass cleaner and toilet paper .
Reply:Glass cleaner or water and a white cotton sock.  Paper towels will scratch lenses and socks are easy to find.
