Just picked up an old dialarc 250 ac/dc/p/hf so I'm looking for a foot pedal aswell as a liquid cooled torch. I beleive the pedal I'm looking for is a rcf-23a but was also wondering if there are other pedals that I can jimmy rig to work with this machine that maybe cheaper as I'm working on a limited budget and trying to keep the cost down. Any info would be much appreciated.ThanksKevin

Reply:No, that one is 1000 ohms, but the large resistor inside is the same size as the 15 ohm in RFC23A and the rest of mechanism is same - easy change and the 15 ohm is about 40.00, I think. While the RFCS-23 has only one cable, the internal wires are big enough to use on the 15 ohm if you just cut off the 5 pin plug and install the 2 and 3 blade twist lock plugs. On the other hand, assuming you have a good RFCS-23, instead of buying these parts and doing all this work, why don't you just swap the one you have for the one you need? PM for more info. Sorry, I am very familiar with the RFCS-23 and because it is 5 pin, thought that was one you meant. On re-reading, I see you have the RFCS-5. My mistake. In the early days of the Econotig, Miller did have a RFCS-5 that they supplied with the unit that did have a small 1000 ohm pot run by a belt. That business about swapping the large 15 ohm won't work here, but the other approach might. weldersales
Reply:I have one. It's the pedal with two plugs right? If interested email me at [email protected] I'd let it go for $125 shipped. Dave PS- I also have a brand new weldtec 18 watercooled torch with some gas lenses as well. I'd take $260 for both shipped. |
