Reply:Working like crazy to get by, kinda like swimming up a waterfall but swimming as fast as I can. Have not had much time to visit this site.I would love to have that old welder and restore it. Unfortunately someone will probably end up scrapping it or something and it will be gone forever.

Reply:I've got one that could be the twin to the one in the ad. It's a great little welder. 20 to 180 Amps continuously variable. Looking at the schematic for it, and the innards, I'm thinking it could be a pre-runner model to the the tried and true 250Amp tombstone Idealarc. The ad says that it is AC/DC. I'm thinking that the owner may be mistaken. More than likely AC only. The switch on the left is power. Switch on the right is a switch for (apparently) low lline voltage. The small knob in the lower middle is for "arc strinking control". What it does, I'm not absolutely certain.Hopefully it goes to someone that will appreciate it. Should be a great resto. project.Dwain
