Welding garb needed

Greetings Weldingweb,Begining a welding certification course and require some gear.Hoping to pick up something suitable for a beginner, and not very costly (the package they sell here is $50 new, but the gear looks like it'll become trash before a year's use).Heres a list of what I need:Shade 10 face shieldJacket/coveralls (fit for 6' body)Gloves (large)Hopefully i'll be able to put some old gear to use.-ole

Reply:Does your coveralls need to be Nomex fire proof?If so, I have a pair of real nice Blue colored Nomex, that I only used about a week on a snow removal job that I did for our local fuel storage tank facility a few years ago "non welding job" I can't remember the brand name, but they where what the facility manager recommended I get, I can get the brand name later if your interested in them!I paid around $150.00 for the suit, I would probably let it go for $50.00 + shippingI am 5'11" tall, and they where just a tad long on me, should fit you pretty close!Ken.Last edited by Ken Dennis; 01-30-2009 at 08:04 AM.#1.
