hi there,i'm sorry for posting probably a novice question but hey! i'm a novice....for my new cabinet smoker i want to construct a frame out of 14 gauge, 2" square tube. all mild steel.for the inner wall i want to "buttweld" a 14 gauge sheet inside the frame.i was thinking about tagging it on the inside every 2" and continious weld (in 2" patches) from the other side.when finished i'll grind the welds flat.is this possible?i've got a 4 step 210 amp mig welder (without a brand) with 20 gauge wire, 75/25 gas.any comments are welcome!
Reply:Sure, why not?However I would use Allstate Easygrind wire .030 diameter. Welds super smooth with C25 too.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
