Do straight co2 cylinders all use the same regulator connections? I'm about to get my first mig. I've decided to go with co2 instead of C25 because I won't be welding on autobody anytime soon.Miller Maxstar 200 strMontgomery Ward 250 AC/DC
Reply:There is a welding valve stem and a beverage tank connector.I think you can get welding regulators for both.I say start with CO2 and pick up a bottle of pure argon when you need it and mix your own gas.old Miller spectrum 625 Lincoln SP-135 T, CO2+0.025 wireMiller model 250 and WP-18V torchCraftsman 100amp AC/DC and WP-17V torchCentury 115-004 HF arc stabilizerHome made 4 transformer spot welderHome made alternator welder

Reply:I use the adapter above for CO2. Depends on the tank you get. Above it the adapter to go from standard beverage CO2 connections to welding connection.BTW,C25 gonna give you a nicer bead with less spatter. It's not just about heat with CO2.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:And when you switch over to Argon, you can use the CO2 with your kegorator.

Reply:You can get a CO2 tank from ebay, local fire equipment supply store, welding gas shop, scrap yard, swap meets. If you wanted to stay super portable you might be able to get a small CO2 paint ball tank and regulator, I have herd of these paint ball to welding regulators but never seen one. Reply:Craigslist is a good source. Don't buy one that has "Pepsi" or "Coke" engraved around the neck. My LWS wouldn't fill one, they said I had to return it to the vendor. I use 20# cylinders around the shop.
