my next project

I bought this little trailer for next to nothing back in the summer. it is mainly constructed of wood, as in the underside except for the tongue and the axle is all wood, the frame is 3 4x4s length wise and the tongue and axle are bolted to them. Reply:Looks like a great starting point. I just finished a project 99% the same. Complete rebuilt. Had a ton of fun doing it too. What are your plans? Make it all metal? I will highly advise you to take your time to align the axle on it. I spend 3 days getting it just right on mine. Hope to see more!I could add a photo of my trailer if you want me too. You could steal some ideas.

Reply:i was thinkin a fully welded frame from maybe 2x4 tubing, also thought about makin it a deck over to gain a little width. Reply:I have one similar. One of the farmers cut up an old car and used part of the frame for the base and the steering axle with the tie rods welded so the wheels stay straight.  I put 2x6s for the deck. Bout 5 wide and 9 long. Its excellent for cleaning out the barn, hauling the generator, tools, cow dooky. Reply:Yikes......Is that thing unsprung?   I don't see a whole lot salvageable there, except for maybe the wheels...   Please keep safety priority #1!

Reply:I wouldn't haul that down the road but I would use it behind a tractor or quad for some farm/ranch use.Lincoln pro core 125 14''chop saw7 inch grinder,2-4.5 inch grinders,electric die grinder.Half inch drillAnd alot of hand tools
