Hey everyone new here and needing help.  I've aquired an old Westinghouse arc welder from my dad who got it from his dad.  The welder looks to be in good shape but its missing the leads.  I have already got the cable (1/0 copper) and the electrode holder and the ground clamp.  The problem I'm having is locating the machine end cable ends for the welder.  The ones i can find are all too small.  The inside of the holes for the plug to go into on the welder measure out to right around .400 and all the ones I find are .3125 and .375.  Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
Reply:You may want to  replace the machines female fittings for newer ones.  Most local welding supply shops can get you set up with standard fittings.  I've had to do this on a Miller Thunderbolt.
Reply:Plugs that fit Century welders are slightly larger than the ones that fit Miller welders. If the ones you have tried are for Miller Thunderbolts, try the ones for Century. Lenco part # UP-10, available at your LWS or on-line.If the Century plugs are still too small, then like Rich59 says it will be necessary to replace the connectors.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
