A buddy of mine bought an old Gravley 48" snow plow and asked be if I could make him a bracket to make it attachable to his Kubota F2260. It was actually pretty simple. The Kubota has a 4 point hitch up front so I started from there and worked my way back. 4" channel for the front bar, 1/2" plate for the pin tabs, and 3/16" channel for the other two connections, and 3/16" plate and a piece of 2 x 2 x 1/4" square tubing for the face mount for the plow. That was stuff I had laying around, and some of it was overkill but the hitch lowers so slowly unless there is a lot of wieght up front because the mower is really heavy. My friend says he may add removable weights so the plow drops faster.I was surprised how well it plows, but it does have four wheel peel which helps.Lincoln Weldanpower AC/DCLincoln LN-25Miller WC-115a Miller Spoolmatic 30aCheck out my youtube TV Channel
Reply:I will try and post a video of him plowing, of course now that he has a plow, it won't snow again...Lincoln Weldanpower AC/DCLincoln LN-25Miller WC-115a Miller Spoolmatic 30aCheck out my youtube TV Channel
Reply:I thought about that but the rear connections only have tension during lifting and lowering. the pushing is all done from the front arms... I thought about putting 45's from the channel to the angle that goes to the back but then I thought it would just be added weight because the pins in the back are literally loose and hanging when the plow is down and pushing. I was looking to brace it back to the front axle so all the force isn't on the pins but i had no such luck. My friend is happy and if it breaks he knows where i live..Lincoln Weldanpower AC/DCLincoln LN-25Miller WC-115a Miller Spoolmatic 30aCheck out my youtube TV Channel |
