purchased a flap disc the other day, i've used them a few times, but never had to install/replace one on another grinder. well, the norton flap disc I have is threaded, and to get it to engage 100% on the threads I need to remove the flange & clamp nut. Just wondering if they go on by them selves w/o a flange/clamp nut, or if your supposed to use a combo of one or the other... Sorry for the dumb quesiton, just didn't feel like finding out the hard way n having the darn thing come off n go flying through the shop at 11,00 rpm's.
Reply:If it already has the threads on the disk (arbor?) then you just spin it on the threads of the grinder. They do sometimes have different size threads but you can get adapters.2011 Dodge 3500 diesel duallyLincoln SA-200Lincoln SAE-300LN-25'sLincoln Idealarc R3RMiller Trailblazer 302
