I found on my local CL an interesting item advertised as a TIG Cooler Tank. Has anyone used one of these?I need a new Procon pump for my Benard like TIG cooler. This is cheaper than a new pump. I like that it would fit the same area as a argon tank.ChadMy JeepLincoln Power Mig 215 / Magnum 300 Mig Gun / SG Spool Gun / Dual TankLincoln X-TRACTOR 1GCMiller Digital Elite
Reply:How much is it?I'd buy that in a second. The stainless tank alone is worth a bundle. It's big enough to not need a heat exchanger.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:You can buy a Procon pump from http://www.jcbeverage.com/ Rebuild was $61 and new about $81. Best price I found for repairing my Coolmate 3.Millermatic 252Hypertherm Powermax 45TIG in the near future
Reply:How much, I could use one. Or better yet, what was their original purpose? Reply:Where is the feed line coming out from? It looks like it would just be recirculating how water at the very top of the tank, sending it right back out to the TIG torch as soon as it comes into the tank 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:lol tig cooler? that's just ridiculous. It's not even set up as a tig cooler anyway. It's just a pump and a tank, which are 2 components of a tig cooler...you only need like 2 gallons of water and no heat exchanger, not 7+ gallons. It's cool but sure takes up alot of space for not good reason. I'd section it down to a couple gallons if I were to use it.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com

Reply:Plus, you're in Arizona. I assume it never goes below freezing where you are, so you can run 100% distilled water. The ultimate cheapest cool that there is.MikeGyver has uncommonly good tig skills on SS. He could cut it apart and make it better. IDK if you or I could do the same. Not sure why you wouldn't want the extra volume. Little downside.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
