Hi Im looking for broken small mig welders in any shape, for free, or dirt cheap. I just fixed my first one and Im real happy how it turned out, I could use more, to get more experience I can convert a AC welder to a DC welder Been in electronics for 47 years Its a lot of fun to soup up a old welder and give it more power then when it was new.I have a cheap source for 150 amp diodes, large inductors and large caps to work with, and since I screwed my hip up Im giving this a try.If anyone here, is near me in Southbury CT. and can help me out please let me knowThanks Gary Call 203 232 8888
Reply:Hey if you get anything where you can't use or want to sell, I need a CV transformer, preferrably taking 220V input but 110 will do that is tapped for different outputs, I have an old napa machine the transformer is long gone but the rest of the unit works fine I would also like to repair.
