Another Portaband stand thread

This is actually my first little project.  Up until now its been practicing laying beads on flat stock and unsuccessful attempts at fillet welds.  I'm using a crappy Horror Fright 90amp flux welder and what I've discovered is that I can make reasonable flat welds at times but even after watching tons of instructional vids I still can't get a decent fillet or vertical weld.Since the stand is not all that structurally important I ground down most of the welds so that I didn't have to look at how poor they were every time I used the saw.   I used 1" 11-gauge square tubing and aside from my better judgement I made it on the fly without drawing it out on paper.  Hence the reason the cross brace is not ideally located.  I connect the saw to the stand with 2 screw knobs that I can remove by hand without the use of tools.  I only had one knob on hand so the front knob was made with a link of chain welded to a small screw.  The only modification to the saw was that I had to drill a small hole on the housing and tap it to allow the front screw to secure the saw.  The top of the saw is secured by the small bracket that will stay attached to the saw and is unobtrusive.  I may later add a small flat table that I can attach to the saw to make cutting easier.I painted the setup today and since the paint hasn't cured I didn't want to mount the saw on it just yet.  Here are the pics: Attached Images

That will bolt under the handle just like the one in your stand.  I then use the screw knob to connect that bracket to the vertical riser.  The way mine is setup I won't have to remove the handle just to use the saw.
