Anybody here make their own Momentary Finger control for your TIG torch. if so please post some pics of your creations. My Father In law is an EE. He works with strain gauges and other small sensors and transducers and stuff. I asked him if he has any ideas. He came back with a box on mini momentary buttons. I am going to make something up.www.tjsperformance.comDynasty 300 DXHTP 240HTP Microcut 380Hyperthem 85JD2 Hyd Bender and HF Hyd Ring Roller all in one =(Frankenbender)Bpt. Reply:I just used a small switch from the LWS and attached it to my torch with a little velcro doodad so that I can move the button around wherever I want it. Nothin fancy but its effective and suits my day to day work perfectly.I can't remember his username off the top of my head, but there is a guy on here that made pressure sensitive amptrols for his machines. Very cool stuff.
Reply:I use these on most of our torches. http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=4901 and thesehttp://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=814We just wrap it completely with electrical tape. At the button wrap it lightly. This smoothes out the torch so its more ergonomic. Dont buy it from Arc Zone they have jacked up prices on almost everything. I also have a crafter series 310 with the built in switch. Its very nice.Best thing to do is find an old busted keyboard and have a lifetime supply of free switches. solder and tape them to your torch. Or even better if you got creative and drilled a little hole in the torch handle to place it in to get it as low profile as possible, that would be awesome.www.performancealuminumfabrication.com
