PowerMig 300

Hey guys, was wondering if anybody has used a PowerMig 300 before, what you thought of them and what would be a good price to pay for a used one. Reply:I have used PowerMig 300's in the past, and currently use a PowerMig 350 MP everyday...They both work GREAT for GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, CAC-A, and GTAW DC(-)If it is in decent shape, $950.00 is a steal for such a versatile welding platform.Later,Jason
Reply:sidthss, Not to rain on your parade I think I beat you to it.  I was just looking around for as much information on it as I could and ren into this post.  Small world I guess.  I ended up snaging it for $850.  He shorted me on the regulator, but I think I did alright.  It is in pretty good shape, I think it is a 2002 model, but not sure.  I don't have a tank for it yet but shoud have soon.  If you ever want to check it out let me know.  I haven't used a mig welder since college ten years ago.  Now I just need to figue out how to use it.  Anyone know how to use it as a stick welder?  I think I need to put it in mode 5 and get a stinger and cable for it. Reply:Ya, ya did beat me to it, was waiting to get some responses from here as to what people thought about it. I know some people dont like the earlier model millermatics and i wasnt sure if it was the same with the lincoln, but i did find a different one and i used it and they are nice welders, if it is in good shape and welds well, you just got yourself one helluva welder for that price. Reply:Did you grab the other one that was on CL I think it was a Power mig 200?  That one looked like new, I had thought about going to take a look at it then this one popped up.
