info on o/a torch

a friend has a victor motorize hand torch that he trying to get rid of .i have not seen it are every seen one that i can place  just wanted to know anything about it . thanks
Reply:Here is a link to that model on eBay.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=330358915506.I have not used one personally, but have handled one that a friend of mine has.  They are heavy and not at all for casual cutting as their purpose is to be able to run straight lines or to follow a line where the operator only has to worry about keeping the torch on the correct path.  They have variable adjustable speed and have attachments such as circle cutting, etc.This is a very specific use machine and if you don't see using it regularly, I personally don't see the value of owing it as they are designed to do one thing well and only one thing.  Namely, cut plate where precision is important.    It is a trade off between a hand torch and a track burner.  I think that is why my friend ultimately ended up selling his.Hope this helps,Tony
