I have been welding pipe for twenty years withtout having to wear a hard hat now i have too.If anybody has a good used set up or can tell me what the best set up is that would be great thanks jim

Reply:Everybody(Jackson, Fibremetal, Miller, Speedglas) makes hard hat adaptor kits. My advice would be to make sure you get a light weight hood to mount to your hardhat. For some reason, I had lots of trouble with my hardhad falling off when I mounted one of my heavier hoods to it. My auto dark lens was right out. I even swapped out a glass fixed shade filter for a lighter plastic one to lower the weight of the hood. Once I did this everything worked fine.
