CK Superflex cables, did I get the wrong one?

Igot a CK TL210 25' 1pc tig torch for Christmas that should have the superflex cable on it. The box even has multiple stickers that say superflex but the torch cable is black like a standard cable. Did they put the wrong torch in the box? I am used to seeing the red nylon cables that their other ones have.TOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE

Reply:It does feel like a larger version of my 17 1pc torch. The retailer only lists the superflex cables but the parts breakdown in the box shows they also use high flex rubber cables too. I saw in an older video that they used to use the black before they switched the different colors like you said.TOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE

Reply:I've been searching, but can't find much info on the torch. Where did you buy it? It may be superflex but feels heavy because its bigger than what you have on the 17 torch. Everything I read shows superflex listed with the trimline torches (I assume that's what you got). Can you get a good close up picture of the hose? Does it look woven or just like rubber? Reply:Does it have a braided cover? Go to CK's wed site and look at the superflex video.

Reply:what is the outside diameter of the hose?  Also, as ironrail asked, does it have a braided nylon outer covering?  If it is near ~5/8" OD (regardless if it has a braided covering or not) it is likely standard rubber.  If it is around 5/16-3/8" OD with a braided covering, then it is likely a superflex hose.  This is just going by what I have seen/owned.Last edited by Oscar; 12-25-2013 at 09:57 PM. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig!
