Reply:If you stay on the Keystone deal let me know. I'm here where it comes in to the US. The power lines will be 1.5 miles out my back door. Figure the pipe will be close to that maybe.Arcon Workhorse 300MSPowcon 400SMTPowcon SM400 x 2Powcon SM3001968 SA200 Redface1978 SA250 DieselMiller Super 32P FeederPre 1927 American 14" High Duty LatheK&T Milwaukee 2H Horizontal MillBryan
Reply:blawlessI made a really long post explaining the reality of the Keystone .....then I deleted it for my own safety/sake.  I will say this much about it:It will go through.Trans Canada is a great company to work for. Most contractors for Trans Canada in America suck *** and cannot deal with the requirements well.Half of it is already in the ground and the rest WILL happen.Gotta leave it there, I need work just like anyone else.Last edited by tommyjoking; 02-15-2014 at 01:52 AM.

Reply:Great pictures, great webpage. Nice when companies take the time to document & post their work online. I absolutely loved this one:KWS Cemetary VaultsOne of the most unusual jobs we have done to date. Reply:Cool pics, I was in Hardisty, Alberta a few weeks ago and drove through the tank yard there.....the other end of the pipeline. If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:question about a machine.  Looks like a miller 185dx in one of the pictures.  One of your personal machines or a jobsite machine?  How well does it run an 1/8" 7018 rod or 5/32" 6010?
Reply:Thanks yallThat is why I like this job....variety.  Got lots more pics but I am too lazy to put em up at the moment. That was contractors machine they use for misc rebar/wire tacking and stuff.  I was tig welding SS pipe off my machine 200ft up on a concrete tower.  I have welded with one before, yamaha mtr on it.  It will weld 1/8 just fine, never hit the duty cycle limit....dunno about running a 5p 5/32 hot...got my doubts it could do too many in a row but dunno.Last edited by tommyjoking; 02-15-2014 at 05:23 PM.

Reply:I love seeing pipeline pictures and very nice website too. That black stuff they put on the pipe is terrible. We just got done building a smoker out of some 24" pipe and the whole shop had that crap floating in the air. Kind of makes you feel sick after a while too.
Reply:The patio umbrella on the roof company issued PPE?
Reply:The guys made fun of my "Panty Pink Pop Up" 'til it kept them from getting soaking wet one day.   Having my head under there makes me feel right at home.
Reply:Excaliber   Hehehe  yea  I had a talk with the safety guy (me) and he talked to the owner (me) and the owner told the safety guy the welder (me) needed that umbrella.  LOL After 111 degree July day with no shade in site, an umbrella is just part of the tool list on my truck now.  I got a lapco one now that is a little more wind resistant.  Then the hoosier pole had to get added on the truck too.  A pipeliner showed me a cool little umbrella stand to make out of pipe, round bar and chain....you can drive it into the ground (slide hammer) style and get that umbrella where ya need it.  Things can be a lifesaver and when the weather is dodgy, mean the diff between rolling up for the day or finishing.  I know plenty of guys carry those pop ups like ya got there too.   Some hello kitty stickers on that thing and it would be bitchen!  LOL
