Anyone use ESAB Atom Arc 7018 AC?

I might be able to get a bunch of it cheap and wondered if it behaves like regular Atom Arc 7018, which would be nice.

Reply:To me it seems to have a littler dryer puddle than the regular Atom Arc.  I ran this weld today. First picture, the second picture is Atom Arc I ran years ago. Reply:I used atom arc 7018 years ago. I was doing nuke pp work. If IIRC, I was using AC as that was in the procedure called out. I remember it sucked worse than any 7018 electrode I had ever used. I don't remember whether there was a different electrode for AC vs DC.On a sidenote, I used to use whatever 7018 electrode was available in the oven, provided there was none specifically called for in a spec, and whatever welding machine was nearest to where I was working in the shop to avoid dragging 200 feet of lead to weld 15 feet from another machine.
Reply:I had some Lincoln 1/8 7018AC a while back and I didn't care for it. Atom arc AC, I'm sure will be a bit different but that ac rod is a little different on a dc machine. Yes I know I sound retarded.
