I have a dewalt multicutter DW872 [ame]http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DW872-14-Inch-Multi-Cutter-Saw/dp/B0000302QS[/ame] and think it's time for a new blade.I was cutting some 1 1/2" square tube 1/8" wall on a 45* angle yesterday and it didn't want to go threw the flats at all.  I bought this thing factory refurbished and it has worked great all last year and has been pretty good this year but think it's time for a blade change. What is a good blade to put on at a reasonable price?  I remember reading a thread last summer on here about these blades but couldn't find it in my searching.  So any recomendations for blades? Also I remember reading something about lubing the saw blades, some guys say to use some stick lube for easier cutting and some say to just cut dry.  Any opions on using lube and if so which one? Thanks, Scott
Reply:I have the Milwaukee dry cut saw.I have used Carrera Precision blades from Max Tool and they seem to work pretty well. I recently went back to the Milwaukee blades and bought the SS cutting blade. I also use a Kool Mist coolant system and it has really helped to keep from destroying a blade so far. Here is a pic of my saw..kinda....Here are the blades from Max Tool:http://www.maxtool.com/index/wm_carbides.asp  I've used part # CP14120Here is the blade that I recently started using:http://www.milwaukeetool.com/Product...=Related+ItemsHere is a link to the coolant system that I use: http://www.koolmist.com/portamist_kit.htmlhttp://all-a-cart.comWelding Cart Kits and accessories
Reply:Thanks for the links ZTFab.  That milwaukee blade is 160 bucks and only gets a 1 star rating on amazon.  But I trust you more than some guys on amazon that might not know how to use a dry saw.  But 160 is a lot for a blade that has some pretty negative reviews. That precision blade looks really nice for 60 bucks.  Has 120 teeth. How does that cooling system work?  I don't see a tray or anything under your saw.  And from looking at the kits it doesn't look like it uses a tray to collect the coolant.  I found a frued blade for 40 bucks with some pretty good reviews.  It's a 72 tooth blade.  I don't cut much stainless at all, none with this saw.  I use my portaband for the very few times I have ever cut stainless.  Mostly mild steel.  I have been doing some reading and it says not to start the cut in the middle of the metal.  But when I was cutting the 1 1/2" square tube on a 45 that was the only way to start the cut because of the preset stops for the fence.  The saw had been cutting pretty good till I did this.  Not really sure the best way to cut these if starting the cuts with the blade in the center of the tube is going to ruin blades?
Reply:I ended up ordering a freud for around 46 shipped.  I will try this one out and see how it works out.  If it doesnt' work then I think I will try that precision one you listed ZT.
