Hi guys I already ordered some .035u fc rollers for my s-32p12.  However, I would like to try some .045 but I don't want to cough up fifty more dollars for the.045 u rollers.  will .045 fc run on .045 v rollers? The machine came with .045 v rollers.  I don't really want to spend 70 on the wire if it won't run on the rollers I have.  I'm excited to get my .035 rollers. I have a large trailer project that will be a full day off non stop welding....perfect test.farmer2

Reply:Using V groove drive rolls you run the risk of crushing the wire.U groove is usually for soft wire.Flux core usually calls for knurled

Reply:Actually, you need to get the 0.045 Knurled rollers for that flux core wire, not the v grooved rollers.  There's a reason they have different rollers for different wires.  I would suggest you buy and use the appropriate roller for the wire you want to use.  Once you have the appropriate tools to do the job you won't miss the cash in the long run.  Going cheap usually doesn't turn out well and even if it does it usually doesn't work out well for long.

Reply:Farmer I've done it and it is a pain in the sac. Wire slips in the rolls then you crank the tension down and it slips then catches and then you have a birds nest inside the box(constructed by a pissed off, and drunk, praire chicken). Reply:Post in the buy and sell section as wanted.  Some members, possibly me, may have extras.  My suitcase came with 1/16 knurled.  Not sure if they are double grooved or not.  Have to check.  I do have a partial roll of ESAB 1/16 dual shield if anyone interested.   Will NEVER use it.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum

Reply:I didn't know there were different rollers for flux core and hard wire.  I run both MIG and flux core on my SP 32P, I'm not sure which ones I have but I haven't noticed a difference or problem.  It's out in the field now, so Ill have to check what I have in it later.

Reply:i have use tons of e71t-11mp and gs.  NR-211 is e71t-11mp.  I haven't had any trouble with Lincon's brand, but I prefer HB28.  right now I have a couple spools of unibraze e71t-11 and it runs great.  It has been a couple years since I ran NR-211, but if I remember right, the sweetspot for it was very narrow.
