Made a rose for valentines day for the wife, didn't get a pic she keeps that one on her desk at school. I was off work today got bored so made another one. I got the templates from a guy that posted it on here while searching. I think it's great when people will help any way they can with your projects. Weather they know it or not people always look ,read and listen to what others have to say. Thanks to all who post and respond to threads.        my buddy does alot metal forging work and he's giving me some tips on getting color in the metal with heat and or chemicals, I will try that next timePrecision tig 225Millermatic 185 w/ spoolgunLincoln 140Dewalt cold saw
Reply:Very nice work. What did you use to get the little ripples in the end of the pedals and what was it cut with?TOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE
Reply:Nice!I really like how you attached the smaller flower too.I made a couple for my wife and daughter but yours are nicer. I will not be showing them these pictures.
Reply:Lovely. How long does it take you to make something like that?Regards,RobGreat Basin WeldingInstagramBlue weldersRed weldersMy luscious Table DIY TIG Torch cooler
Reply:Nice job. I might try making one using silverware, bunch of spoons. I got go shoppin first.
Reply:Well looks like your ahead of the game now for next years valentines day. Just don't let her see or know about it before then. Maybe by next year you can have her an even dozen. She might not Kill the first one, but if she keeps it in a vase of water she may RUST it to death.
Reply:I heat the tips of the pedals and use a slight hammer to give them the marks, use needle nose pliers to roll the pedal tips. I cut everything using my bandsaw and bench grinder to shape them. Thanks Chris t.Precision tig 225Millermatic 185 w/ spoolgunLincoln 140Dewalt cold saw

Reply:I've done some looking on the Web and yes you can get leaves, I thought you can buy the rose pedals pre cut. Don't know  the prices, wasn't too worried about out it. I figured if I want to make a bunch I would find someone with a cnc water jet setup ,cut a bunch of different sizes and be done with it. Reply:Very nice roses. Im sure your wife loved these as I know mine likes the metal ones over the real ones. You can add some cotton swab in the center, painted black first so it doesnt show up then dab some rose oil on it to smell like the real ones. Reply:Thanks guys I guess iam making good more, she wants some for the school fund raiser auction. Probably not a bad idea this way I can see how much they go for and people get to see them, which maybe a couple for sale. Even these will be donated it is still fun getting my hands dirty and firing up the welder.    Thank you again.         JamesPrecision tig 225Millermatic 185 w/ spoolgunLincoln 140Dewalt cold saw
