I think the ad said it weighed 60lbs and was a showing anvil. Anybody ever heard of that make? Seller wants $150.00 for it. I don't know a thing about anvils.
Reply:I meant shoeing anvil. I'll see if the link comes up. http://macon.craigslist.org/grd/1973789079.html

Reply:riding horse shoes dont need much beating hence a light anvil..a lght anvil is a bouncy anvil + is no good...
Reply:Decent used anvils usually sell at auction for $2/ lb. and up. Really nice "real" anvils can top $4-6 / lb easy if the right people are interested..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:New ones go for $800 & up. How light is light, if you use it everyday, forging and smithing, it might be to small for your needs, but occasional use, a buck & and a half, I'd spring if I was closer?Bruce The Welding ChefLincoln Weld-Pack 3200 NORWELD StickStanford Hill Farm |
