Looking to buy a used, but in good condition Lincoln 175,185, or 225. Must be able to weld aluminum.
Reply:I've got a Lincoln Square Wave 175, looks and works like new. I actually need a 250 Miller mig or lincoln of near specs. Will sell 175 if you are interested. Reply to [email protected]
Reply:I Strongly advice you not to buy such a small power source to do alumiun. I speak on two levels. First when I finally got around to buying myself a tig welder. I bought a 185 lincoln tig, That was a big mistake. There is nothing wrong with the lincoln 175,185 or the new 225. Except all three of them have air cooled torches ( the torch will get hot, only has about 100amp duty cycle and is very big) and the lincoln 225 has only 90amp/100% duty cycle.Witch means with a Lincoln 225 you can only weld 1/16 thick aluminum. Yes you can weld thicker 1/4 is the max but only 1-3" at a time. I reccommend a lincoln 275 that is water cooled that has 200amp/100% duty cycle witch is good for 1/4 aluminum |
