How to use Miller welding helmet bag!!???

This is driving me nuts!! Maybe I'm the only one, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what Miller's idea was with the Digital Elite helmet bag! How do you tighten the drawstrings on this goofy thing? I end up pulling each of them a few times before I find a couple that will draw it closed-----it seems like a real lame design for a company like Miller! I'm about to cut these things, pull them out, and run a single cord through.(If you have one, you'll know what I'm talking about!)Thanks!

Reply:I've got one. You're right, the bag is a goofy design. Drives me nuts too. I think I stuffed it into a drawer somewhere. It's more hassle to use than it's worth.

Reply:Threw mine away as soon as I got it. I converted a Anvil flight case for a Marshall amp head. Holds the helmet, extra lens's,torch tip cleaners,picks,gloves and sleeves. Oh yah, cheaters!

Reply:I've been using a planet eclipse mask bag from my paintball days for years. When miller started offering them, I was pretty sure they copied me.

Reply:Hey, TurboCad, I agree if you just want to put it in the bag and throw it around, but like VWGUY3 said, I want to hang it on the reg or a hook on my welder cart and it doesn't work for that. It is hard to put the helmet in and out with it hanging. I thought it would be great to protect my expensive helmet, but turns out to be too much trouble to use. Reply:I'm busting up in laughter... I just got a new Miller Dig Elite and felt like a 4yr old with this new helmet bag. Told my wife it looked like it was made to be a back pack of some sort, which she too started laughing.It's the 3rd welding helmet I have, that comes with this type of helmet bag. I ride dirt bikes too, and have gotten a similar bag with a new riding helmet.My new process to utilize the helmet bag is to remove all the strings and just use it as a dust cover. Surely I'm not going to carry it around as a back pack. Nor am I going to stuff it with other junk (as it'll just weigh it down and make it more useless). Even then, it's a flimsy helmet cover and doesn't offer much of anything.
