I'm just a hobbyist and I want to weld up a turbo manifold for a project. I want to use schedule 10 or .125 thick tube, and would prefer to use ell and tee fittings. Mild steel is fine. Ive been googling around but cant find a reasonably priced source for butt weld fittings. I dont call $50 per fitting plus for 1.25" steel reasonable, I think its because the places that come up sell to industrial users. Seems like they should be $10 per mild steel fitting, maybe 20 for 309LAre there any recommended sources or do I need to readjust my expectations?

Reply:They are nuts. I only ever used them when I needed job related stuff. Good shipping and supply but always high prices. For personal projects I prefer better prices because I dont need their serviceLast edited by bikesandcars; 04-30-2015 at 09:49 AM.
