So I have a logo that's in the form of a JPG and I would like to have it laser cut into some gussets I plan to use, how exactly would I get this in an editable form in TurboCAD? The picture is all black and white, and I have it showing up but I cant actually edit it to my liking (ie: so I can make little bridges to the holes in the letters if that makes sense). Does anyone with experience have any suggestions? Im using turbocad 17. Thanks guys!
Reply:The way I've done it is to import it into modelspace as a .jpg and then trace it using a spline. It's tedious but once you do that you can drag the line to round out the curves as well as trim and add lines/bridges where necessary. Once that's done you can make it whatever size you want by either scaling it up or changing the ratio in your viewport in papaerspace....MikeLast edited by mrmikey; 10-20-2010 at 05:35 AM.
Reply:There are jpg to dxf converters that you can download for free that should do your job.http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...ert+jpg+to+dxf
Reply:Worked PERFECT, thank you so much!!! |
