Spoolgun for PowerMIG

Just wanted to see if anyone out there is using a spoolgun on their power MIG 255, im looking to get the spool gun for my PM255, just not sure if I should go with the Magnum or Prince XL, the magnum can handle more power, while the prince XL looks like its built much better.  The Magnum is about $300 cheaper when you factor in the adaptor modules etc......Thanks,Jimwww.jmfabrications.comLincoln Precision TIG 375Lincoln Precision TIG 275Lincoln Power MIG 255Lincoln Power MIG 140CMiller Dynasty 350 (x2)TD Cutmaster 80
Reply:The Magnum also is harder to repair.  We used these in our fab shop and when we had trouble with them they took longer down time to repair.  Frequent problems were with the control lines coming out the back of the gun which the weight of the lines causing the wires to pull out of the terminals even with the harness properly supported.  We tried Miller's Spoolmate 3035 on a Lincoln Wirematic 255 which worked great even though Miller tech guy said it wouldnt.  We even used the supplied hook ups from Miller without having to butcher the spoolgun or the Wirematic.  Plus, the Spoolmate was about have the price of the Magnum.  Only one thing, you have to use the Miller control unit with it to regulate the wire speed.  The spoolmate much easier to load, setup, maintain, and clean than the magnum.A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter   Victor O/A
