Your thoughts on these torches

I can pick these up for 225.00. Tanks are full and he says everything works. Is it worth the money? Union carbide are the regulators and the tanks are good through 2015.Thanks,-Gary Attached Images
Reply:Not a bad deal but I notice that the oxygen bottle has a company neck ring on it so unless you can prove ownership you may have trouble getting it filled and will definitely not be able to trade it in for a full one or newly tested one when the time comes.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:aww crapI just got a oxygen bottle that says the big three in the same spot. It also has a permit number. I had asked on here if I was going to be able to get it filled. the lady I bought it from signed a bill of sale. will that work?you ain't gotta eat it

Reply:In some places the smaller bottles (that looks like a S size) are considered ownership bottles and are fairly easy to get exchanged. Reply:Airgas bought the Union Carbide/Linde gas biz and they can exchange that one for you. Cylinders do not have "titles" as such since they are exchanged for full cylinders. The hydro may be waived if the local welding supply are feeling generous. I just "show up" rather than call in advance.  Be friendly and make buds with your local welding supplier. That way you become the pleasant customer who is a relief from the retail hell of dealing with azzh0lz.The torch is an Oxweld or relative (Union Carbide etc). I have three of that style, they are top quality and will likely outlive you and the next owner too.  I look for tips for all brands on Ebay because they are typically cheaper than buying locally.Plenty of other gas welding tips for that handle are available on Ebay for cheep.I don't need any more gear or cylinders, but I'd pay what he's asking since having many cylinders at far less than retail is nice. They don't depreciate.
