Proverbs 4:23My company welds.
Reply:I like it, it is color neutral! GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:I admire the determination to get the job done with nearly no resources. It ain't purty, but it's 100-percent more useful than "no welder".
Reply:Well "grounded" too!

Reply:Cleaning out my supply drawer last night, I had 4 "right hand" gloves in decent shape, with no matching left. (Have always thought they should sell welding gloves in sets of three, since I (and others) typically burn up the left side fairly quickly.) Having seen this picture, I now realize how much money I have wasted on gloves, hoods, and other protective gear. Hobbyist - At what point is a "hobby" out-of-control?
Reply:I'm sure it was a bit more refined than this but I know my dad had a welder in Czechoslovakia that he made himself including the transformer. You make due with what you have to some times.

Reply:There's a video out there of a guy in a similar country who makes parts out of scrap rubber. Has a little homemade lathe (like a wood lathe, but not electric) and makes all sorts of bushings, replacement suspension parts and the like, right on the sidewalk. He had a board with hundreds of different parts displayed. Truly amazing to watch."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder
