I found this after buying a spool of  wire I never heard of Exel (no c) from some company in Houston, Tejastan. The only difference between it and L-56 Lincoln is it has 10 points less sulfur content.http://www.arcmachines.com/news/case...effects-sulfurBubble gumTooth pixDuct tapeBlack glueGBMF hammerScrew gun --bad battery (see above)

Reply:I saw an abridged version of this info many years ago at an AWS meeting.  General discussion was about orbital welding but the lady engineer who did the presentation had short films of the arc with different concentrations of sulphur.  The intention was to have a stainless alloy with a specified percentage of sulphur in it to produce a superior joint.  I don't know if it ever happened.   "Presented by Barbara K. Henon, Ph.D., Arc Machines, Inc"  When we went to this dinner meeting there was a nice old lady who looked like everyone's grandmother.  I never even suspected that she was the evening presenter.  She REALLY knew her business!
