Here are the free soft grip pads you can get free from irwin for your locking c-clamps.You get 4 soft grip pads for which ever locking c-clamp you have.These are made to fit the 4sp small vice grip locking c-clamps which is the 6".All you have to do is tell them where to ship them and for what model clamp you have. Reply:Forgive my curiosity, but it's 2010.  "Free", as a concept to maintain customer relations, is like a unicorn. Sad it is. Great to see this is possible with a company like Irwin. After trying a few different brands of "locking pliers", Vise-Grip's are worth the money. Period. Reply:Well I emailed this past Friday about the soft pads and got a reply today that they are no longer available.  Guess there is no such thing as a free lunch.
Reply:Went to tractor supply and bought another pair of vice-grips(not irwin brand of vise-grips) just so I could put the other set of  pads on before they disappeared or something.Used one pair last nite to hold the metal striker pad on my wood medicine cabinet while the super glue dried to hold the metal striker on.Opened the door and the striker stayed with the magnet that holds the doors shut.The double sided tape that did hold the striker had let loose.
