Simple project for the wife

When we bought the washer and dryer a couple years ago we couldn't afford $400 for the pedestals. I recently got around to building this pedestal out of 1 1/2" 11 ga. tubular steel and some shallow channel for the feet to sit in. It's painted with some Rustoleum semi gloss black and has adjustable feet. The wife stores laundry baskets underneath it-keeps them handy when doing laundry. Best thing is it didn't cost 400 bucks and our backs are better off

Reply:I used to deliver those washers all the time. The washer is light, the 200+ lbs of concrete they add to the drum are what weigh them down. Good job, looks nice. Definitely more storage than the pedestals afford.
