Seeing if anyone out there with some Titanium filler wire can help me out. I have a small project where the carbon fiber on my exhaust can for my bike is busted. I have the muffler apart and know how much material I need. What I plan on doing is buying some Titanium and wrapping it around and welding a seam underneath. At any rate, I'm looking to get some titanium filler wire for this. Material I'm looking at is CP grade 2 Ti. So I believe I would need some type of ERTi-2 filler wire. Not all that up to date on the Ti material and filler wires, so if I'm mistaken someone let me know. I am aware of how to weld the stuff, cleanliness, back purging, prep, etc. Although I won't get too crazy, it's not a structural component. But if anyone has a couple of rods of 1/16 or 0.045 filler wire laying around they would like to sell me I'd be delighted to avoid paying $100+ for a pound of the stuff when I just have one project. I can and prefer to use paypal if someone can help me with a few rods.Miller Syncrowave 180SDMillermatic 175
Reply:Search Titanium TIG rod on ebay, they sell it by the rod on there. Usually about $2-3 a rod. good deal if you only need a few.If you cannot convince them, confuse them. Harry S Truman |
