Reply:Is this covered in the troubleshooting section of your manual? Do you have your manual? You can get it here: http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...nualsearch.aspAlso, while some here might be able to help, also give Lincoln a call while you wait for someone here that might know: http://www.lincolnelectric.com/products/service/
Reply:I haven't read the troubleshooting section of the manual, but the first thing I would try is making sure the fine weld current control is in the max position. In this type of machine the fine control rheostat controls both the weld and AC auxiliary voltage. Also check the engine RPM. If you have a multi-meter that will measure frequency, you only need to check the frequency at your 115VAC receptacle. The engine RPM will equal the frequency in Hz times 60, for a 3600 rpm machine. With no load on the machine, and the idle switch set to high RPM, you should read about 62 Hz.Good luck. |
