Ive been building a manifold for my buddy's honda and its getting close to being finished. This is the first major project ive done since I got my tig and im pretty excited to see it on the car and running. A little bit of undercut in some spots but not too bad and the color is kind of in and out but im slowly getting better at heat management. It was definitely a good learning experience, I had to use a lot of different welding positions and getting into some of the tight spots around the collector was difficult. Welding around pipe is probably the hardest thing for me right now, especially this 1.5" stuff.1/16" 308 (and 309 for flanges) filler#9 gas lens3/32 red tungsch10 1.5" 304SS pipe70-90amps depending on the areaLast edited by CSXRT4; 03-24-2014 at 10:45 AM.
Reply:Looks good! Did you buy an unwelded kit or did you machine the plates and buy the elbows?
Reply:Thanks, I bought the head flange and turbo flange and made everything else. Bought the materials from acestainless.com and flanges from turbo-flange.com, really good prices.Just got done welding the pipes to the head flange, that was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.
Reply:That looks pretty good!!
