Reply:HI folks!newbie onboardi just bought 225 over a month ago on sale($430),such a beauty, used lots of 6011's and still use some cleaner flux 7018's..only thing i despised about it was it did'nt come with a helmet, and bigger still the cord is sinfully short..had to fork 180$ for some 100ft cable!
Reply:Hello arcangel!100' of cord, wow!$430? Did you buy the AC/DC machine? Most new ones come with a helmet... but yours did not?***************************************Lincoln AC225 stick welderLincoln HD100 WeldPak flux core wire feed welderThree of the cheapest grinders money can buy

Reply:The DC machine allows additional rod types to be used. Some say it has a more stable arc... mine isn't DC either.Start the bicycle tubing question in the projects forum. Be sure to state your welding experience and even post pictures of your results to help the forum help you.***************************************Lincoln AC225 stick welderLincoln HD100 WeldPak flux core wire feed welderThree of the cheapest grinders money can buy
Reply:Will this handle and have play for a 5/32 electrode? I was thinking about getting this ac/dc lincoln. Is it worth it for my needs? Thanks
Reply:I would like to see some pictures of some welding with this machine. I picked one up this summer off of a friend for $250. He gave me a long cord with it and some 6011 rods. It is the first time using this machine and I have not had too much luck with good looking welds so far(the welds look like hell to tell you the truth). What would be the difference in using the 6011s compared to the 7018s? I commonly use 1/8" stock to weld.....just the light stuff. I have a Lincoln Electric 3200 mig too that I use with just the flux core wire.
