I'm sure its not necessary, but would you reccommend getting one for 15 -20 .. about what it cost after shipping.. if it useable for stick or mig , or would the metal get to hot? thanks
Reply:Yes it is worth the price. I bought one for like $10 a few years ago, I don't use it all the time but its really nice to have. Yep, can use it stick and mig welding also. Usually my fingers don't get too hot mig or stick welding though.Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power) Hobart MIG
Reply:I like mine I got three since they will tear up on jagged stuff.I use it 98% for tig - works excellent. And like above, it's not always needed. But I have used it on mig when I had small stuff that I kept flipping around to reach all the welds and I just put it on my left hand so I could rest it anywhere without being burned.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.

Reply:@ evansinclair21229 - whether you think it's necessary or not, you're probably right. Jody's TF works. High-temp, fire-resistant, PPE to aid the welder. Had three of 'em, gave two away to family/friends as dakine gifts. Need to score a few more. Believe you'll find uses for the TF once you own one. Does it make you a "better" welder? Nope. Will it help you in certain applications? Yep.Jody's videos are professionally produced, instructive, and always have a take-away message. His delivery style of 'Tell me what you're gun'a tell me, Tell me, Tell me what you told me' is refreshing. He's a nice dude and talented welder/fabricator.
