Dual saw

This may have been asked before, but does anyone have experience with a dual saw?

Reply:the one i bought from sears several years ago was junk.motor overheated easily and a brush holder melted. i would think today's tools are improved as that one was one of the first on the market. the cutting action was good on steel and aluminum.

Reply:Its also known as a "twin cutter" or "twin cut saw".  You may want to do a little research with those names.  (Sears calls the Craftsman model a twin cutter, and the reviews aren't so great).It has two concentric counter-rotating shafts for the blades, and uses a wax lubricant between the two blades, with special blades that have zero kerf on the inner sides.A common complaint is a low duty cycle that burns out the motor after just a few minutes of continuous operation.I'm not sure what you'll be wanting this for, but for woodworking in those odd plunge cuts where other tools don't work well, I really like my Fein.
Reply:Thanks for the replys-----i got a gift card from my kids and was going to get one yesterday, but they were out of stock and now i'm glad they were----now  i think i will get a cut off saw.

Reply:I purchased the dual saw as seen on TV.  It worked OK, when I purchased it I told them I only wanted it if it would cut 1/8” propane tanks.  http://www.amazon.com/Twincut-Techno...5139695&sr=8-1It did, but it really labored so I sent it back and got me a Plasma cutter.
