Just wanted to get some critque of my welds. Just got started and trying to get some pointers to take it to the next level. These are lap welds with 4043 @ 130amps or so with 2% ceriated tungsten. Any pointers are appreciated. Lasg pic is t-joint with similar settings. All welds are on 1/8" aluminum. Thanks Attached Images
Reply:Great welds for a beginner, alum is hard to weld and it seems like you are well on your way of learning the tricks.Your lap joints look a little cold to me, Set your welder to about 165amps full pedal to puddle the metal and back off as needed, dip your filler every second and work on consistencyMillermatic 211Miller Syncrowave 350lx with cooler and tigrunner Thermal Dynamics cutmaster 811955 National Cylinder Gas O/A setup with original patina
