Reply:More heat. Turn that machine up to max. If you have what I think you have, the thickest it will weld is 1/8". If you are trying to do thicker stuff, you won't get great welds, but you can use it for noncritical projects like yard art..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Jamato,I would say it looks pretty good, but like you pointed out, there's some things to work on.1. clean all the mill scale off your steel. The less crud your arc has to burn through the better. 2. the wire feed is consistent, so you need to work on your consistency regarding travel speed and distance from work.3. turn the heat up, or the wire speed down, it looks a little cold. Now, truth be told I'm not qualified to tell you how to tie your shoes, but these are my observations.  Good luck.Lincoln SA 200Esab Caddy 160Thermal Arc 201TSMiller Dialarc HFI don't like making plans for the day because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around the courtroom....
Reply:Consistency with your wire stickout, travel speed and gun angle are key. It appears you had variances in those areas.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720
