I have a Victor Performer torch set with the edge ESS3 regulators, I use the acetylene reg with propane. http://victortechnologies.com/victor...odID=0384-2045I bought the Flange Wizard burning tools but they require the larger body torch. The torch I currently have says it will cut up to something like 6" with optional tips, don't know how true that is but mostly I'd be cutting 1" and under. The salesman said that if I wanted a larger body torch I would have to buy new outfit with bigger regs and all that other stuff. I do have quick disconnects on the reg and torch side but if I hooked up my 1/4" x 25' hose and purchased a larger body torch would the regs supply enough flow/pressure for what I cut?If not by the time I get new regs and a torch I can get this set for $419http://www.weldersupply.com/P/461/Vi...yDutyJourneymaTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE

Reply:What tools did you buy? I was unaware of any FW tool that holds the torch body itself.
Reply:I don't see why you would need high-capacity regulators."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder

Reply:I'm with Walker......I don't see anything on their site that grips the torch body.Your set should work just fine.

Reply:You can absolutely use a larger torch with those regulators. The salesman's trying to make some extra profit off of you.
Reply:Those regs rock. I run the 100 as well as a 300 series and a 2600 cutter on those. No problems what so ever.Regards,RobGreat Basin WeldingInstagramBlue weldersRed weldersMy luscious Table DIY TIG Torch cooler

Reply:Never heard regulators too small unless you are lancing some 3 foot thick steel. |
