I have a 25' 400 amp Bernard Q gun the is in very good condition with the exception of the connection of the cable hose and the gun came loose and I cannot get it back together. It uses a compression style fitting and I have spent hours trying to get the cable hose through the nut and have not had any luck.........ideas?

Reply:You have to cut back to virgin material and be very careful when cutting off not to disturb the weave of the conductor wire then put together. First time took me a long time to get right but it can be done. I normally use a twist of wire on the gas hose being carful to bend the pigtail over so it lays flat.
