Ok guys, been a bit since i welding, i moved and misplaced my helmet, its in a box somewhere in one of 50 boxes, in 3 different locations LOLbut it was just a knock of helmet, so i have been in search of a new to me helmet for a few months, Got a deal on 2 "broken" welding helmets for 40 bucks. 1 is a miller performance helmet and the other is a esab aristo tech.... the performance was a dead battery/dirty sensor and the esab the solar cell had a broken wire/dirty sensor, so they are both fixed but i cant seem to decide which one i like, plus im still tweaking the settings and not sure what i should run roughlySo my question is who has either of those, do you like it and what settings are you running? i figure instead of flashing myself a lot, ill get a base line from you guys on what settings you runCentury 88amp 110v migCentury 100, 110migPowcon200smThermal Arc 140 migThermal Arc Fabricator 211i
Reply:You don't get arc flash even if the helmet doesn't darken. Even non activated you are still protected from the UV rays.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.
