Is it possible to buy a pulser unit and set it up for a Dialarc 250HF? Just curious if it is worthwhile and possible, as there are many benefits to being able to manipulate the pulse and frequency along with balance for AC/DC TIG welding.1973 Lincoln SA 200, Already replaced shunt coils, Idle board (SOLD)1984 Miller Dialarc 250HF, Miller water cooler, 250 AMP water cooled torch, you know the worx.

Reply:Funny you should mention this. My 16 year old son is in a digital electronics class and we were talking over practical projects to aid his learning. The two projects we came up with were an upslope/downslope rig to use with a torch switch and eventually figuring out a pulser. These would be for my Airco (miller ab/p) and for my regular Dialarc with a spark box. May not be till summer but it should be interesting. Reply:He's leaning towards electronics/computers/engineer as a career choice so I figured get him in working on stuff for real as early as possible so he gets hooked - like he is on TIG already Plus, as a learning/teaching philosophy, I believe education should be tied to real life as often as possible Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday. |
