I need a TIG Welder for this type of welding,. I run a gunsmith shop, so I weld small thin parts, pits on receivers and barrels for restoration work before I re-blue, messed up screw holes. Also weld on aluminum trigger guards. I already have AC-DC stick welders, HF arc stabilizer (currently use Tig with this but lowest AMPs are35, too hot) and oxy - acet gas. I'm looking for recommendations on what size Tig welder w/foot pedal (control heat) to get

Reply:I'm guessing 220, so check out a Everlast 185 or Miller 180...Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Trump/Carson 2016-2024

Reply:Dynasty 200dx as stated above is a great machine. I own a Thermal Arc Arc Master 185. As far as I can tell they are both pretty close. Only used a dynasty a few times and it was very nice. Not sure that it would matter to much in your line of work but that T/A is one tough little machine. I have run it on aluminum for so long that I had to hold the torch with vice grips and no shut down. A little machine abuse but it takes it like a champ. Reminds me I need to shop for a cooler.

Reply:Looks like the Dynasty 200dx is what would work for me. Miller & Lincoln look like good products. What other manufactures have comparable products. Thanks John
